This lovely little owl was inspired by a visit to a local Birds of Prey exhibition. I think he is an Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo) who nest in rocky crevices and whose prominent tufty ears are used to attract a mate.
Created from a Tetra Pak plate and printed using Akua inks on A4 Fabriano Unica paper this is an original limited edition hand-printed Collagraph. As I ink by hand this is a variation edition as there are small colour differences in each little owl.
